Prescribed burns

The ACT Parks and Conservation Service will conduct a number of prescribed burns in the coming months across Canberra to prepare for the upcoming fire season.

Wondering what a prescribed burn is? Prescribed burns are more commonly referred to as controlled burns or hazard reduction burns. Prescribed burns involve carefully lighting fires in a predetermined area under specific weather conditions.

For updates on prescribed burns please follow TAMS on Twitter @tamsmediaroom or subscribe to email updates by emailing =subscribe%20to%20controlled%20burn%20updates
