I trekked over with the camera this morning and found myself on the shores of lake disappointment.

Of waders, two Black-fronted Dotterel; of ducks, less than a dozen assorted Pacific Black, complemented by a small number of Grey Teal. Some querulous Australasian grebes. Some cormorants, the usual assortment. One White-necked Heron, White-faced, ditto; no raptors at all. Five Superbs disported some way off. A couple of bettongs did remarkable accelerations.
I did add Varied Sittella (dy) to my 2015 bag of breeders on the way back.
regards
Con
