I am very interested in a photo by Rawshorty in the latest (Feb) newsletter. I photographed a Little Pied Cormorant at Yerrabi Ponds recently at the “Pelican statue area” and it had the same dirty mustard colouring on all the areas that should have been white. I searched for similar pictures on the web and after not finding any to match I wondered if it had gotten itself stained from some sort of pollutant. This colouring is not referred to in Pizzey and Knight or Morcombe that I could see. I would appreciate members’ feedback.
