Hi Guys, I've been swooped by my fair share of Lapwings over the years and the definitely make contact on occasion. Most recently I was whacked in the head with the spur of one in the Calwell Club car park. My Mum had a particular knack for being swooped as well and I remember quite vividly her being attacked by a duck when I was quite a bit younger. She was the only person I've ever known to actually annoy a duck so much that it came at her. I remember sometime recently a discussion on the chatline that a person was swooped by a kookaburra and a raptor of some kind, so I count my family lucky that Lapwings and Ducks are all we have had to watch out for!
