Or you could go to Nature Lodge Optics at Huskisson (see ad in November
Gang Gang) and try out the various models looking at the waterbirds
across the road from the shop. I talked to the owners on the phone and
then went and bought a pair of Zeiss in June. They were so helpful and
I'm very happy with the binoculars.

I was in Teds Cameras just off London Circuit in Civic yesterday, and
they several good quality (Leica, Nikon, etc) bins in a case at the foot
of the stairs. But you'll find stores with a much better selection that
you can actually get your hands on to look through if you go to Sydney
or Melbourne.

Hey all
Can someone ident this bird please - along Gininderra Creek in Latham.
Also, any suggestions on where I can try a range of birding
binoculars, I am on the lookout for some light weight ones.
Cheers
