G'day Darren

Thanks for the gate arrangement.

There haven't yet been any reports of Painted HE in the area this year but that is certainly our target species when we visit on the 19th (still three weeks away so plenty of time for them to arrive).

We'll certainly let you know of any untoward activity we see in the Reserve.

Martin

Hey Martin

I had a quick look as I did the gates but could not see any Painteds. Are they there this year?

We have had some troubles with people driving in and taking fire wood, hunting, fishing, camping,  hence the gates. We believe we are on top of it now, but  if all the people who go in there could please report anything untoward to me it would be appreciated. Get car regos if possible.

G'day Darren

In about 3 weeks the COG Wednesday walkers intend to visit Stoney/Stony Creek NR from Urriara East to see if the Painted Honeyeaters have returned.  However I am told the gate there is now locked and difficult for a bunch of old codgers to climb.  Can it be unlocked for us or should we bring steps?  Of course you and/or your staff would be welcome to join us, which should make the former option a tad simpler!

Best regards
