A final update before the weekend’s blitz. The weather is looking less than perfect but not dire so pick your birding time as carefully as possible, take care, and enjoy yourselves! For those of you still uncommitted, sites that don’t have a specific taker include the Gibraltar Falls/Woods Reserve/Corin Rd/Dam area; Mt Tennent; Rob Roy NR; Stirling Ridge; Scrivener Dam; Kama NR; the southernmost reaches of Boboyan Rd. But surveys anywhere would be appreciated, even your own backyard. And I do hope someone will try and record that Regent HE if it is still around – a definite candidate for the “best bird” prize. Re road closures, I suggest you check the TAMS website later today as yesterday’s rain may have had an effect. Namadgi is looking ok, however. A reminder about recording your observations. If you use the COG electronic data entry system, an electronic note to me saying how many sheets you entered and when would be helpful (I need this to track down entries with wrong dates!). Otherwise observation sheets can be downloaded from the COG website – or if none of the above is possible, phone me (6254 6520) with your records. I’ll be home on Monday afternoon if you’d like to deliver your results and have a cuppa; otherwise mail them to COG PO Box 301, Civic Square ACT 2608; or bring to the November meeting. Happy birding! b
