I was at the Queanbeyan Schools Environment Expo today and among the interesting ornithological sights were:
  • a pair of Rainbow Lorikeets both inspecting a hollow in a eucalypt and copulating vigorously: and
  • a yellow-rumped Thornbill on/in a nest.
