Further to Wayne Gregson's report on Tuesday, today I popped in to the
Bungendore Sewage Works. The shelduck pair was accompanied by nine
ducklings. They are really cute!
I wonder where their nest was? Various references indicate that they
usually, tho not always, nest in tree hollows, sometimes long distances
from the water in which the ducklings end up.
