The large flock of YTBCs which spend the nights in the woodland near Blue Range
Park (off Brindabella Road) are leaving the area earlier as the sun rises
earlier. They gather in the old eucalypts in the Uriarra Village horse paddocks
and then fly towards the Murrumbidgee and Canberra in waves of 10 to 20 birds.
Yesterday about 80+ flew low over the village at 6.40 am. I went to Canberra a
bit later and saw a small group of 5 birds flying south near the Hindmarsh
Road/Tuggeranong Parkway at 7.20 am.
