I have not noticed any really obvious decline in Grey Fantail numbers in winter here in Nichols/Percival Hill. Numbers are probably a bit down but then birds are generally quieter and less obvious during winter anyway. What I mean I suppose is that I still hear them every day and can always find one if I want to. Is this to do with the maturing of the woodland? Are more birds considering themselves resident?

A Grey Fantail seen at Yowani Golf Club – an early arrival or over-Wintering? The first one I’ve seen there in some months.
