After enjoying Dean Ingwersen’s COG talk on Regent Honeyeaters, in which he included details about habitat restoration in Capertee Valley, I spent last Saturday planting trees up there and joined the bird surveys on Sunday morning. Unfortunately
we didn’t see any Regent’s, which was not surprising as it’s the wrong time of year. However, Birding NSW are doing surveys in October at which time Regents are much more likely.
