Hello all.

An unusual bird has shown up in our area and I'd thought I'd let you all know.  This is the second record of the Noisy Pitta in that area - the first being of a juvenile in 2002 at Akolele.

Mandy Anderson recommends walking to the end of the boardwalk at Wallaga Lake, then continuing up the track towards the pavilion.  The birds were in the low forest just past the building.  Ann Christiansen took some photos today and I have posted a couple on the Members' sightings page of our website www.enhs.org.au

Happy birding!
