Links to data summaries for all species in the current COG species list have been added to the COG Bird info page (http://canberrabirds.org.au/our-birds/bird-finder/). At the top of the summary page for each species there is a “More Detail” button. Clicking on this should take you to a second, much larger document (about 2mB) which contains more information. However, this may not work for some people using Google Chrome. If it does not work for you and you want to access it using Google Chrome, follow the steps below.

If you are experiences problems viewing the data, please send me details of the issue and the type of browser you are using.

Steps to fix links in pdfs not working in Google Chrome

1.      Open Google Chrome

2.      Enter chrome://plugins in the address bar (see figure 1 (attached)

3.      Click on ‘Disable’  below Chrome PDF Viewer. It should change to look like the greyed entry half way down figure 1

4.      If Adobe reader is in the list (see bottom of screen shot), click on ‘enable’ below the name

5.      Close and restart Google Chrome

You may get a messages like ‘Adobe reader needs your permission to run’ and ‘Always run on this site’ when you view the first PDF. Click yes for these questions to allow your computer to use this product to view PDFs.
