Not as often as a few weeks ago, but a pair just flew over my yard heading towards Farrer Ridge, and yesterday they stopped briefly in my backyard red gum in mid afternoon. I hear and see rainbow lorikeets every day, and every now and again the much higher pitched call of the musks, but they don't stick around for long when they come by. Perhaps not as competitive as the rainbows who don't seem to be put off by the local bullies-pied currawongs, noisy miners and red wattlebirds.
