On 12 December 2013, I saw a female Common Pheasant skulking under bushes on the margins of busy Kingsford Smith Drive (-35.203101, 149.052983). Today (7 July 2014) I saw a female pheasant in robust good health at -35.217574, 149.044301, 1.8km and 6 months away from the first site. At the second site, the hazards include not only a busy cross-road, but a resident fox population.
