Some data from the COG database which includes months when breeding has been recorded. Interestingly, for such a common species, the COG general database does not contain any records of EC copulating but there is one for the GBS in November 2012 .

This afternoon, Eurasian Coots copulating and males fighting.

2 male SF wrens chasing a female with vigour for several minutes, after they disappeared into heavy grass clump for several seconds they re-appeared with the males settling back to feeding. Possible early breeding?
