An obviously recently hatched brood of young ducklings (at least 6) observed being herded by their parents downhill in the roadside gutter in the pouring rain heading towards the Banksia St Wetland, Lyneham at about 4:30 pm today. This illustrates the broad breeding ‘season’ of this species when conditions are right.
