Hi all

Just sitting at the Harrison playing fields watching my wife play soccer. I
could hear swift parrots over the road. Tracked them down and found 14 birds
feeding on large lerps on young (ish) planted eucalypts in the park to the east
of the fields. The end of the park is bounded by Katoomba, Tanami and Encounter
streets. Five birds have just flown up high over the fields and headed south.
If going out for a look, Listen for the rapid, strident 'tink tink tink' call
especially in flight; they're calling a lot.

There are also superb parrots everywhere, maybe 30+ birds. Some feeding on
exotic seeds in the park. Lots of calling too.

Cheers
Anthony
