Thank you Mark! Yes I did indeed mean White cheeked. It’s galloping Alzheimers I am sure! Up on the hill the young and with-it Woo was always correcting me about white cheeked, faced, eared, naped, plumed etc which came out of my mouth but did not connect with my brain!

Hi John,

Do you mean White-eared Honeyeater instead of White-cheeked as the latter does not occur around Canberra?

Cheers,

Mark

Showed Woo O’Reilly around Percival Hill this afternoon. We had a terrific bird watching time in little more than an hour. Golden Whistlers, Spotted Pardalotes, Double-barred Finches, Nankeen Kestrel, White-cheeked Honeyeaters etc etc but the exciting highlights were long and beautiful view of Scarlet Robins and a close up encounter with a  Collared Sparrowhawk hunting Yellow-faced Honeyeaters.
