The Wednesday walk this month will start at the carpark of the Tidbinbilla Visitors' Centre at 9am (note change back to winter start time). We'll be walking to the Birrigai rock shelter and back. In exploring the route yesterday John and I saw lots of flame and scarlet robins, as well as yellow-faced honeyeaters, emus, black-faced cuckoo shrikes, yellow robins, yellow-rumped thornbills, white-eared honeyeaters, weebills....  There are also several historic sites along the way, with signs about both aboriginal and white settler use of the area - a very pleasant and interesting walk even if the birds don't cooperate on the day!
After the walk there's the opportunity for a coffee in the visitors' centre. There is no need for an entry pass for Tidbinbilla for the WW, since we won't be going through the boomgate, but walking from the carpark.
