Hi Ray I've always found Nikon excellent value, but there is also Vixen which are the top end of Tasco, and there's Vanguard , both of which have excellent lower priced glasses ,as do other makes. But I would give one more bit of advice when buying binoculars and that is , if you can only afford say -$200 it would be best to save a bit more before you consider buying AND THEN, add at least a extra couple hundred more than you cant really afford, remembering that they don't have to be in the $1000s to be happy with them. If you don't do this, you'll always wish you had just waited a bit longer and bought the ones you really
wanted. Remember a good set of tyres would cost more than binos, but binos will last a lot longer and will give you many years of pleasure and an heirloom to boot. Bob |
