Greetings. To assist list subscribers, any emails sent to the list
address m("canberrabirds.org.au","canberrabirds");"> that are over 200 kB in
size (including attachments) will now be automatically rejected. The
sender will receive an email that reads:
From: m("mail1.qnetau.com","MAILER-DAEMON");">
Subject: failure notice
Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mail1.qnetau.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following
addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work
out.
m("canberrabirds.org.au","canberrabirds");"><>:
ezmlm-reject: fatal: Sorry, I don't
accept messages larger than 204800 bytes (#5.2.3)
We have instituted this as many list subscribers now access the list
via smartphones with very restricted download limits.
If anyone wants advice on how to resize photos so that your emails
remain under the 200 kB limit, please contact me. Alternatively, you
may find these hints useful:
