As I was lured up my street in Deakin this morning by the call of the local Koel, I was a little put off to see a flock of 17 Indian Mynas fly over in a group heading in the general area of Deakin shops or beyond (westward from my place).

Last Friday (?) I dumped some stuff at the Mugga Lane Tip and saw two Peregrine Falcons, one on a tree close to the recycling area and one hunting over and on the dry “grassy” slope up to the left as you come into the parking area.
