The Bungendore Sewage Treatment Works seems to be a drought refuge at
present (the water level in the dam on Trucking Yard Lane is very low,
just room for a few Pacific Black Ducks, and as Michael Lenz has
reported, Lake George no longer lives up to its forename).
This afternoon at the Sewage Treatment Works there were 13 Plumed
Whistling-Ducks, 3 Pink-eared Ducks, Australasian Shovelers plus all the
usuals.
Last Friday there was a flock of Silver Gulls there (unusual), 7
Pink-eared Ducks and 9 Aust White Ibis.
