Hi Robin,
It is much closer to a juvenile than an immature going by the head, neck and throat feathering. If I caught this during banding operations I would record it as a “J”.

Subject: [canberrabirds] Cuckoo-shrike query
Snapped this morning on the eastern edge of Campbell Park, a Cuckoo-shrike with (to my eye) odd throat marking/colouring.
Is it an immature? ( I think there were two others flying just ahead of it.)
