This morning 0650h on mudflats beside Horse Park Dr. lone sandpiper ; yellow legs, long beak (more than Sharp-tailed) dark, almost black, on the crown, call in flight matches field guide description, clear profile view against mud background. Observed about 5 minutes. My first ever positive ID of this bird.
