Hi Kym,

 

Your birds are Caspian Terns, a rather rare visitor to the Canberra area. A good record if you wouldn’t mind putting it in as a COG incidental record sheet.

Two of these Terns flew in scattered all the other birds ( hope the gentleman looking for the sand pipers saw them )

 

 

 

 

Also the Glossy Ibis is still there  straight out from Bittern Hide right hand side   near the creek entrance looks like a lump  in the grass VERY hard to spot
