Much appreciated COGers.
A katydid it is - and great to have the web site Harvey.

I put the insect in a 4 gal bucket & covered it with breathable material- obviously

I didn't make it escape-proof as not there this a.m.
I wanted to inspect/photograph in daylight.

Didn't notice any of the beautiful colouring on the abdomen last nightat 12.30 a.m.

It must be somewhere in the house!!
