A generally quiet morning, with very few waterbirds around the river. No Darter and 1 Cormorant in flight.
Most interesting was an immature Grey Currawong that arose with a startled cry and flew to a nearby tree as I approached. This is the first Grey Currawong I have seen in this area, ( bitumen track side of the river).
Three Common Bronzewing, one in the vicinity of the Zoo on the other side of the river, and two more at the crossing area below the Tuggeranong overpass.
Two Wedge-tailed Eagle soaring high, Red-browed Firetail, Brown Thornbill, White-browed Scrubwren, Superb Wren, European Goldfinch, Silvereye, and Black-winged Kite.
Weston Pond, a couple of Hardhead, plenty of Wood Duck and Coot, Australasian Grebe. One Pipit singing persistently in grassland and flying very high much like a European Skylark.
