Interesting confrontation this morning in Ainslie.

A male Koel had re-occupied its position (half an hour there yesterday) atop the power pole in our garden when a Currawong arrived-

 

 

The Koel let go with a barrage of calls and the Currawong departed instantly.

 

 

 

 

Much Koel activity before and after with pb more than 3 m calling in near vicinity and at one stage a female flew over with 2 m in pursuit.
