Currawongs in Fraser

The resident currawongs have raised another chick to fledging in a eucalyptus in my backyard. That makes two this season. However, after the heavy rains of early last week I found a dead chick under the nest. It was about half feathered and got me to wondering if it had died on the nest from the cold and wet or had been evicted by the its now-flourishing sibling. My meagre references are silent in this regard.
