Probably fair to it regard as a highlight of a visit, but not especially
"unusual", are known from there in small numbers. Recording rate declines a
lot, south of the north NSW coast. Are also along the Vic east coast but not
common either.

Would a sighting of an osprey at Merimbula be an unusual sighting, so far
south?  They are that far south in WA, but I don't know about the east coast
