Hi Roy,

I will post this message to the Canberra birds email list. No doubt he will get lots of advice or may wish to subscribe to it so that he can read all the chat. There are many bird researchers at the ANU. I might be able to take him somewhere depending on time and preferences. He may be able to attend the COG Christmas party or some of our outings.

An American birder has contacted me regarding a trip to Australia in early December.  He is seeking advice as he will be in Australia on business from Dec 5th to Dec 14th.  Here is part of what he has asked me:

I will arriving in Sydney and will be spending time at Australian National University in Canberra.  I am not sure exactly when my free time will be but we will be driving from Sydney to Canberra on Dec 7 & 8th. I understand it is ~300 km.  Any suggestions regarding good stops along the way, not necessarily along the freeway would be welcomed. I am seeking advice - more precisely contacts as to who may be available in those areas that may be available to take a US birder (first time to AUS) out birding. Any assistance would be appreciated.

If you can help you can contact Mark Citsay via email on m("aol.com%3cmailto","mcitsay");:"><>

Many thanks

Roy
