Sorry, the end of the email didn't go through due to gremlins...try again.

Today a peewee fledgling appeared on my front door step. I presume it came from a nest above the house. It just stood on the doorstep for about 2 hours whilst it's parents came and went, and fought off various other peewees and magpies.

Curiously wondering if anyone might have any idea how long it might take for this bird to get its wings so it's not so vulnerable? I won't intervene but i'd like to imagine it has a long life ahead. It eventually jumped under some bushes, to my relief.
