Superb Parrots eating exotic scale insects

This is a link to a photo of one of two male Superb Parrots seen this morning feeding
on what appears to be European Fruit Lecanium Scale (Parthenolecanium corni) infesting the outer branchlets of elms. 

They were joined in the infested trees by at least seven White-winged Trillers
(one female seen, about 1/2 dozen males seen and/or heard).  Scale-infested elm trees are common
in the parkland lining the Macgregor stretch of Ginniderra Creek.
