#2a - to count birds. A couple of years ago I posted a photo sent to me
by Barry Baker he used to count seabirds on a sub-antarctic island. No other
way of doing it, really.
And so to Werribee. You will see below a view of the familiar You Yangs
taken last Friday - but from the WTP side of the road. Indicated by the
green arrows are 2 groups of smaller whitish birds, mainly avocets. If you
like, you can have a guess at how many there are. In the next posting we
shall take a closer look.
