An i.d. from Ted Edwards (Lepidoptera section CSIRO). Cheers, Muriel
This is a male Pholodes sinistraria in the subfamily Ennominae of the family Geometridae. It is one of the geometer moths. The larvae feed on a wide range of plants including many garden plants.
