I was out surveying for Superb Parrots this morning along Throsby Ridge.  At least 200 Straw-necked Ibis flew over in various groups from the Mulligans Flat dam towards the airport over a period of about 10 minutes.  I thought ‘Oh dear here comes trouble’ when about 10 minutes later 160 returned to settle in the area known as lower Throsby Neck.  It had occurred to me that they could have been disturbed by the ANU survey held this morning.
