It
always amazes me that film & TV shows always attempt to portray the image
through binoculars as being two separate circles or, even more ridiculous, two
slightly intersecting circles. In either case with a different image between
them. The producers of such nonsense have clearly never used binoculars or
believe the audience are that dumb. The image through binoculars is one combined
circle, unless they are out of collimation.
And
yes obviously I understand what Mark intends by the message.

years ago in California, at the Marina Del Rey, I was fortunate enough to have
Ruddy Turnstones in one eye piece of my binoculars and Black Turnstones in the
other!
