I finally had a call back from the ACTEW ‘asset manager’. The unfortunate news is that the ponds remain officially closed to nature watchers for another 6 months due to a need to upgrade the margins of the ponds. There was an apology for lack of communication. Further info will be given to a scheduled meeting with Parks and Conservation next month in the interest of cooperation with JWNLR management. Chris – as I have no formal role in this I have indicated you as an appropriate future contact.
