The most recent ACT record of a Wood Sandpiper appears to be a mention in the 1993-4 ABR, which records “9 reports of a single bird at Kellys Swamp GrL14 from 22 Jan to 28 Feb”. According to the Rarities Panel records, the species has been recorded more recently in COG’s wider area of interest, for example on 27 Aug 2012 at Lake Bathurst. Hint: would SOMEONE please put in an unusual bird report form for the current bird please, as it is a significant record.
