Seen yesterday (Thursday) on lower eastern slopes of Red Hill, two juvenile or first immature GBBs.  Not far away, an adult GBB in a wild barney with three Noisy Miners and a Kookaburra.  Also seen (1) and heard (1) two Noisy Friarbirds.

Walking home, I saw a Magpie digging heartily into a meal, so keenly, that it let me walk just 30cm away while it jealously hung onto its meal.  A banana peel!  I didn’t want to disabuse it as to the appropriateness of the food for magpies (and monkeys).
