Thanks Martin, a very timely comment. I had a camera set up to record frogmouths nest building just the other night, click the link below for a little information on how they go about building their nests, and there is a short edited video link within that page too. Although there is a difference in altitude between our study areas, there is more than that which effects when they begin nest building. I only know of several nests now, out of tens of home ranges. Such factors as aspect of slope, weather and food supply also need to be taken into account.
