This afternoon there was a single N Night Heron at a small temporary pond in the grassy area between the Campbell Park carpark extension and the SE corner of the Park. Also a single White-faced Heron at the same pond. Attention drawn to them by a couple of Black-faced Cuckoo Shrikes which were harassing them.  The NNHeron pushed the WfHeron off the pond edge, and then when it too took flight as we approached, it  was chased by a Raven.

A huge flock of Welcome Swallows swooping over the grasslands(many more than 50 at a guess).
