olive-backed orioles on Callum Brae

It was my understanding they are occasionally seen in winter.  I shot one in July 2010 and another September 2010 both on Callum Brae.

This is unusual in terms of the records on the COG database - there are only 6 years (1989,1991,2003,2004,2011,2012) in the last 31 with 1 or 2 records of Olive-backed Oriole in July.

Yesterday, and a couple of days earlier I saw olive-backed orioles near the West dam on Callum Brae.  Clearly two different birds at least that I saw.  They were calling a lot too, but not saying “Oriole”, it sounded more like “Hurry up” to me.  But I was enjoying not having to hurry anywhere.
