Hello, I know these are common birds in parts of Canberra, but I live in a newish area (site of old Canberra drive-in) and tiny birds like these are very lacking. Native corridors and understory are not yet established in this area. So I was very happy to see an E S, on the corner of my street, investigating blossom in an ornamental plum tree, at 9.30am yesterday morning.
I'm taking the appearance as a good omen! Megan |
