Just outside my office at the Crawford School at the ANU, a pair of A. Ravens is building a nest deep inside a healthy clump of mistletoe in a eucalypt (sp?, Melliodora perhaps). Both birds were seen carrying bills full of grassy or leafy litter. So it looks like they are up to the lining stage, but I cannot see the nest because it so well hidden in the mistletoe.

Subject: [canberrabirds] Busy ravens on Callum Brae
A pair of ravens were busy nest building on Callum Brae this morning. In the photos the nest is in behind the fork of the big branch. Also the Wood ducks were numerous active and noisy. No accurate count, but up near West dam I saw two pairs, and down near Narrabundah Lane 3-4 pairs flew across the road to the farm paddock.
