if anyone is thinking of visiting Fivebough Swamp at Leeton in near future, there have been some good birds there lately. A pair of Curlew Sandpipers was sighted 5 May and stayed a week. the day they left a Pectoral Sandpiper made a quick visit. Common Greenshank and Double-banded Plover have also been sighted in the past month, as well as up to 30 brolgas feeding in the swamp regularly. During June 15 different raptors were recorded there.
There were also two May reports of flocks of Major Mitchell cockatoos (up to 50 birds) in Griffith Information taken from the June issue of the newsletter of the Murrumbidgee Field Nats.
