Today at 4:30pm the RSPCA pond had 23 pink-eared ducks and still half a dozen each of both dotterels. (and YTBCs were plentiful earlier over the brindabellas in small groups).

I also saw the same birds as you did Kevin – at 3.30pm. Also the Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos were still around in the direction of the bike path to Scrivener from the pines across the river. They were moving north east.

That's an amazing result for what looks like a pretty ordinary pond. Last time I was there... I ended up with a kitten!

After the COG walk at the Pinnacle, I stopped to take a look at this body of water down the slope from the RSPCA and found quite a variety of birds, including: 8 Pink-eared duck, 1 Shoveler, numerous Grey teal, 8+ Black-fronted dotterel, 6 Red-kneed dotterel. Eighty Yellow-tailed black cockatoos flew over, heading NW. There were 2 Australian pipits close to the RSPCA.
